Quick Start Guide

Quick Start Guide

Connect your helpdesk and go live with automated ticket resolution in under 4 hours.

Tip:Before you begin, make sure you have admin access to your helpdesk platform and at least one knowledge base source (website, Confluence, or Notion) ready to index.

Overview

TR-AI sits between your customers and your support agents. When a ticket arrives, the resolution engine searches your knowledge base, scores its confidence, and either posts a reply automatically or routes the ticket to your triage group — all within seconds.

The typical setup takes 3–4 hours and follows four phases: account creation, knowledge base indexing, helpdesk connection, and a test run.

Step 1 — Create your trial account

  1. 1
Go to the trial signup page
Navigate to ticketresolve.ai/trial and complete the 4-step signup form.
  2. 2
    Choose your helpdesk platform
Select the platform you use: Zendesk, Freshdesk, Intercom, Salesforce, HubSpot, Zoho Desk, or Email. You can only connect one platform per trial account.
  3. 3
    Enter your credentials
Each platform requires different credentials. See the integration guides in the sidebar for platform-specific instructions.
  4. 4
    Add your knowledge base URL
Enter the root URL of your documentation site (e.g. https://help.yourcompany.com). TR-AI will crawl and index it automatically. You can also connect Confluence or Notion.

Step 2 — Index your knowledge base

After signup, TR-AI begins crawling your knowledge base in the background. Indexing typically takes 5–30 minutes depending on the size of your documentation.

You can monitor progress from the Dashboard → Knowledge Base card. The status will show Running while indexing and Ready when complete.

Note:TR-AI uses a local embedding model (all-MiniLM-L6-v2, 384 dimensions) to generate vector embeddings. No content is sent to external AI providers during indexing.

Step 3 — Connect your helpdesk webhook

Once your knowledge base is indexed, connect your helpdesk by registering the webhook URL shown in your Dashboard. This tells your helpdesk to send new tickets and customer replies to TR-AI.

Your webhook URL follows this pattern:

Webhook URL format
https://ticketresolve.ai/api/integrations/{platform}/webhook/{trialId}

Examples:
  Zendesk: https://ticketresolve.ai/api/integrations/zendesk/webhook/42
  Freshdesk: https://ticketresolve.ai/api/integrations/freshdesk/webhook/42
  Intercom: https://ticketresolve.ai/api/integrations/intercom/webhook/42
Salesforce: polled every 30 seconds — no webhook needed
  HubSpot: https://ticketresolve.ai/api/integrations/hubspot/webhook/42
  Zoho Desk: https://ticketresolve.ai/api/integrations/zoho-desk/webhook/42

See the platform-specific integration guides for exact setup steps in each helpdesk's admin panel.

Step 4 — Send a test ticket

  1. 1
Create a test ticket in your helpdesk
Submit a ticket with a subject and description that matches something in your knowledge base.
  2. 2
    Watch the Dashboard
Open your TR-AI Dashboard and watch the Recent resolutions feed. Within 10–30 seconds you should see the ticket appear with an outcome of resolved or triage.
  3. 3
Check the reply in your helpdesk
If the outcome was resolved, TR-AI will have posted a reply and closed the ticket. If triage, it moved the ticket to your triage group and sent a holding reply to the customer.
