Replies to Facebook and Instagram comments
Answer questions people leave under your Facebook Page and Instagram posts — as drafts you approve, or automatically when TR-AI is confident.
- 1Open Business tools → Social commentsEnter your Facebook Page id, optionally your Instagram professional account id, a Page access token and your Meta app secret. Secrets are stored encrypted and never shown again.
- 2Subscribe the webhookIn your Meta app → Webhooks, subscribe the Page object to “feed” and the Instagram object to “comments”, using the callback URL and verify token shown on the page.
- 3Pick a mode“Draft for approval” (default) holds every reply for a person. “Automatic when confident” posts short answers that reach your auto-send threshold and drafts the rest.
- 4Approve draftsEach comment shows the suggested reply. Edit it if needed and click “Post reply”, or dismiss it.
- Replies are written for a public thread: short, no greeting or sign-off, and never about account details — people are invited to send a private message instead.
- Abusive and spam comments are never answered. With “Hide abusive / spam comments” on, TR-AI hides them on Facebook and Instagram.
- Your own Page’s comments, emoji-only comments and friends tagging each other are ignored.
- Each answered comment counts as one ticket toward your daily cap.
- If Messenger is connected to the same Page, the same webhook URL also passes Messenger messages on, so one subscription is enough.
Tips & tricks
- Start in draft mode for a week and read the drafts — switch to automatic once they rarely need edits.
- Questions in comments are often about shipping, pricing and availability: make sure those articles are in your knowledge base.
- The Page token needs pages_manage_engagement and pages_read_user_content (and instagram_manage_comments for Instagram).
Note:TikTok comments and messages are not supported: TikTok Business Messaging is only offered through partners and is not available in the US, EEA, Switzerland or the UK.
