Payment links

Send customers a hosted page to pay an open invoice or a one-off amount — card details never pass through TR-AI.

Procedures can send a link to a hosted payment page: the customer’s unpaid Stripe invoice (stripe.invoice_payment_link), Chargebee’s hosted payment page (chargebee.invoice_payment_link), or a new one-off Stripe Checkout or Shopify draft-order checkout for an amount (stripe.create_payment_link, shopify.create_payment_link).

  • TR-AI never asks for or accepts card numbers in chat, email or on the phone. On a call, the voice agent texts the link when SMS links are on.
  • Links for an open invoice are read actions and are sent at once to the verified customer.
  • Links for a custom amount are financial actions: a teammate always approves them, and amounts above “Largest custom amount” are refused.
  • Stripe Checkout links expire after 23 hours. Set your own “return page after paying” (https).
  • TR-AI checks every 10 minutes whether a link was paid, for up to 30 days; paid links and revenue are on the Revenue page.
Tip:Paddle and Recurly payment links are not supported yet — for those billing systems, point customers to the payment emails Paddle or Recurly send.
Tips & tricks
  • Start with open-invoice links: they need no approval and recover overdue payments fastest.
  • Keep “Largest custom amount” low at first and raise it once your team trusts the flow.
  • Set a friendly “return page after paying” that confirms what happens next.
